Bella Buzz – February

The holiday season has come and gone, it felt like January made a short appearance and now February is already among us. For many this can be daunting, holiday “diets” are officially over, the magical appearance of snow has passed and so many of us are left thinking what’s next? Well, we are here to tell you in a city like NYC there is always something to do or see and February in the city is no exception. So let us share with you some of the highlights of this month that you won’t want to miss!

 

FOOTBALL AND FOOD- Feb. 5

Super bowl Sunday has become a tradition around the country, whether you are watching to see the game, the commercials, or just watching for the social aspect the Super bowl has something to offer to everyone. While NFL will be on every television around the city, it would be good to do some research on where to go because some sports bars will require tickets.

FASHION WEEK- Feb. 9-16th

One of the most popular and hectic times of the month is NYC is Fashion Week. To enjoy this week your name does not need to be on every list of every show or after party. Around the city there are many free events to partake in ranging in makeovers, sketches and so much more, so get out and try a new venue, get inspired by street style and enjoy in being a part of a tradition that makes New York so infamous.

VALENTINES DAY- Feb. 14

Valentine’s Day is no longer just for couples, so no matter what your Facebook status says this is a day full of events for everyone around NYC. Events like historic jazz at the Blue Skies Services, Lincoln Center, wine and chocolate tastings on Park Ave, Central Parks Ice Festival or the Cupid’s Undie Run everyone has the option to go out and have some fun in the city.

FAT TUESDAY- Feb. 28

While New York Is not New Orleans, that does not mean the city does not know how to celebrate. Mardi Gras is time to pull out your beads, put your black away for the night and wear something vibrant because the city will be lit filled with jazz performances, Cajun food and amazing parties. DANCE FESTIVAL – Feb. 23-26

Now that some of the early month buzz has settled down and you have been able to get some seriously needed R&R, it is time to get back out into the city and the Roosevelt Dance Festival couldn’t be a better way to do so! Reserved seats are available for ballroom, rhythm, Latin, and smooth dance.
