In the last fourteen plus years, Ms. Russo has grown the business from a single person shop to a caliber of professional, creative publicists that cater to clients in a variety of industries including beauty, fashion, retail, lifestyle and entertainment. To Marla, it’s about developing long-lasting relationships between clients and key media.  She helps make the connections that deliver results.

A graduate from Hofstra University, Ms. Russo has an established nineteen-year plus history in public relations.  Prior to founding Bella PR, she held senior positions at several public relations firms in New York City.

Her diverse background also includes a seven-year tenure at Susan Grace Cohen Studio, affiliated with the Lee Strasberg Institute.  Ms. Russo is a native New Yorker and currently lives in New York City. Later on she worked for C.I. Visions Public Relations where she represented spa, beauty, and lifestyle accounts including Fruits & Passion.  She was proud to handle the publicity for Fruits & Passion’s first US store opening in Scottsdale, Arizona.  In 2006, she came to Bella PR where she specializes in makeup, fragrance and spa accounts.  While at Bella she directed the makeup and beauty publicity for numerous NYC fashion week shows including Betsey Johnson, Venexiana, Laurel DeWitt, Falguni & Shane Peacock and more. She also handled the press launch for the Bill Blass Couture Fragrances and Nelly’s Apple Bottom Fragrance.  From working a segment on zombie makeup on Rachael Ray’s Show to rush delivering glitter to Lady Gaga’s makeup artist’s hotel room, Susan’s typical day at Bella is never boring. Over the years she has built solid relationships with the media, celebrity makeup artists and beauty industry pros. She is proud to say most of her clients have been with her for 8+ years. In addition, Susan has a strong passion for makeup artistry and worked for over three years as a beauty advisor and freelance makeup artist for Lancôme. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seton Hall University with a major in Communications and Public Relations and a minor in Political Science. In her spare time she is proud to volunteer as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster children) and is co-chair of CASA’s annual Foster the Dream Gala.


Her experience ranges from working with small start-up companies to generate press and overall brand awareness, to larger consumer brands implementing strategies for new launches and seasonal collections with brands such as Cynthia Rowley, Revlon,, PilyQ and Malia Jones. Throughout her career, Rachel has built strong relationships with press and other media influencers that help take her clients to the next level and keep them consistently on the media’s and consumer’s radar.


She has a proven track record for securing top-tier media placements from The Today Show and Good Day New York to InStyle and O, The Oprah Magazine. Lauren is experienced in developing and executing creative PR programs to deliver results for clients and through her work has established and maintained close relationships with top press. Throughout her career Lauren has been able to work with a diverse range of companies such as Mattel, Jeep, Dukan Diet, The DivaCup, Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort and more. Lauren graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.


With a background in working with brands in-house to launch and grow their social channels, she has built strong personal relationships with top influencers as well as up and coming innovators in the digital and social marketing arena. Throughout her career she has worked with a diverse group of brands such as Maggy London, DASH, and Armani. Her passion is creating captivating content and connecting brands and influencers to produce a brands online narrative. Arica graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelors in Fashion Merchandising.


Having spent four years in-house at Swarovski on their PR team, she learned how to take a global strategy and implement it on a national and local level. She has secured top-tier placements for a wide range of clients across several industries, including fine jewelry and watches, footwear, home accessories, wellness and lifestyle. She prides herself on her ability to share a brand’s story in a meaningful way in the media through a targeted and creative approach. Christine graduated from Penn State University with a B.A. in Journalism.


Shannon is a graduate of Florida State University and a digital marketing professional. She has dedicated her personal and professional life to staying ahead of the curve in the ever-changing field.  

Her experience with content creation and influencer partnerships covers a variety of industries; from fashion and beauty to food products and vitamin supplements. She has fine-tuned the skills needed to relate to and communicate with today’s diverse market. Shannon’s love for creativity and developing brands’ online presence lend to her well-rounded background and ability to get results.


A New York native and a graduate of Pace University, Megan always has her finger on the pulse of the ‘new and next’ in NYC. As a jack of all trades, she works on both the Public Relations and Social Media team. While working with brands across all different spheres including beauty, wellness, and lifestyle; her approach to sharing a brands story implements creativity, forward thinking and willingness to always try something new.


While obtaining her bachelors in Business Management with a focus on Marketing from Moravian College, Nicole joined Bella as an intern in the Social Media department. After excelling in many areas, and quickly embracing the Bella mission, she joined us officially as our Influencer Marketing Assistant.

Nicole has worked diligently and has played a critical role in expanding our relationships and internal database of diverse influencers from multiple social media platforms. Her knowledge and passion of pop culture and the beauty industry have allowed her to connect our clients with a wide range of influencers and develop successful partnerships between the two.


As a blogger, Emily is always keeping an eye on what’s new and different in the social sphere. She has spent the last few years helping various businesses grow their audience across social platforms. She values the connections social media creates, which fuels the expansion of a brand’s voice and vision. Emily works on content creation and optimization as well as influencer marketing and outreach.
